Assistant Chief Chuck Boggs
Chuck Boggs has been an East Jefferson Fire Rescue Assistant Chief (Support Services) since June of 2005, and previously was appointed the Fire Chief of Jefferson County Fire Protection District No. 1 in 1997.
Joining the District as a volunteer in 1971, he served as a volunteer for 26 years, 18 of which serving as an Assistant Chief.
During his years as a volunteer and a career employee he completed various Fire Service classes, including First Responder EMS training, Incident Safety Officer, Response to Weapons of Mass Destruction, Emergency Vehicle Accident Prevention, a Washington DC FEMA class on Response to Urban Terrorism and several leadership courses and many others too numerous to mention.
Chuck served as President of the East Jefferson County Fire Chief’s Association for seven years and is still active in that organization, and is also a member of the Jefferson County Incident Management Team, Washington State Fire Chief’s Association, and the EMS/Trauma Council of East Jefferson County.
